5777:   The Year of The Sword

this word by Johnny Enlow resonates so much in my spirit.   The accuracy and full implication of what it is for this season and what our position and stance Islas major impact as to how we move forward.

Johnny Enlow: “Rosh Hashanah 5777: Rest, Reformation, Resources and the Election”by Johnny Enlow

Oct 2, 2016

From the desk of Steve Shultz:
This is a very thorough article and prophetic word about the coming year. For those who may now know, MANY Believers enjoy going by two calendars. The “Gregorian” calendar which is our standard American calendar, in which we are about to enter the year 2017 in January. And then we often look also to the Jewish/Hebrew calendar which has the NEW YEAR beginning this Sunday, October 2. It’s called Rosh Hashanah.
In the Hebrew Calendar, we enter not the year 2017 on January 1, but the year 5777 on October 2 (it’s often a different date each year for the Jewish calendar).
So this year, 5777, that we are entering into on Sunday, is detailed in this prophetic word by Johnny Enlow.
Some of you will enjoy understanding more about Biblical numbers in this article. Others of you may have a harder time with that as it’s new to you. But ALL of our readers should enjoy seeing what God is about to do with His Church and with the world.
These are amazing days and years we are entering into.
Be encouraged. God is on the throne and things are about to get very, very interesting!
“Rosh Hashanah 5777: Rest, Reformation, Resources and the Election” Johnny Enlow, Santa Clarita, CA

October 2, 2016 begins yet another remarkable season as we enter into year 5777 on the Hebraic Calendar. The numerology itself of this new year tells us it is an unprecedented year. The number 5 is the number representing Grace and 7 is the most sacred and mystical of all numbers and it represents Completion, Fullness, Perfection, and the total spectrum of who God is.
The Scriptures tell us that there are “7 Spirits of God” (Rev. 4:5 and 5:6) and that there are “7 eyes of God” (Rev. 5:6) and “7 horns” of God (also Rev. 5:6) These all speak to us of this spiritual connection between God and the number 7. The Bible also tells us that the rainbow and its 7 colors surround the throne room of God (Rev. 4:3). The 777 dynamic of this year is something that only occurs once every 1000 years and it of course has never before come preceded by the significant number 5.
Many Believers get weirded out when attention is paid to numbers but numbers are very significant in the spirit realm. The Hebraically in-tune mind – is fully aware of the importance and intentionality of numbers and because of this is able to perceive messages of God that others miss. Our God is not random or pragmatic in His ways, but has placed treasure with an accompanying treasure map into virtually everything He is or does regarding numbers. Those who know this can become richly rewarded, those who scoff and do not recognize this are the much poorer for it. As we step into discovering some of what God is doing in 5777 may your spirit be open to perceive.
As in the Days of Noah: A Time of Rest…and Floods
As I was waiting on the Lord regarding 5777, I heard the Lord say to me, “What you saw in Atlanta in 2009 was a dress rehearsal for what will now take place in a spiritual context.”
Back in 2009, I preached a message at our home church of the time called, “As in the Days of Noah.” The message was based out of Genesis 7 and it followed the story of Noah. The message was designed to answer the question, “Just how are all the mountains of society going to be actually affected by us?” This was, and I suppose still is, a fairly common question that I receive as to the 7 Mountain Mandate. What gives me confidence that we can arise and shine enough to really see the reformation of the 7 mountains is this short answer: “As in the days of Noah.” Let me explain. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
Noah whose name means “rest” was born to Lamech, who we are told in Gen. 5:31, lived to 777. When Noah was born it was said of him, “He will comfort us from our labor and painful toil” (Gen. 5:29). Noah built the ark while preaching over more than a hundred-year period. Then he was told to go into the ark because the long announced rains and floods were coming. The ark has so much significance for us as well.
We are told in Gen. 6:15 that it was 300 cubits by 50 cubits by 30 cubits, and again the numbers meant something then and still do today. The number 300 connects us to Gideon’s 300 and speaks of courageous ones who march to the beat of a different drum. 50 is the number of Jubilee and is also the number of the Holy Spirit, as Pentecost came 50 days after the Cross. 30 speaks of maturity but specifically connects us to Jesus, as that is the age when He started His ministry marked by how He revealed the Father’s love.
In essence “getting in the ark” represents being courageous, filled with the Holy Spirit, and walking in the love of Jesus. As we know, the floods not only judged the wicked but it says in Gen. 7:18 that the waters lifted up the ark and that “the ark floated on the surface of the waters.” The subsequent progressive rains and flooding led to the ark ultimately rising to the tops of the mountains and then above the mountains. Gen. 8:4 then tells us that the ark finally rested on Mt. Ararat, which means “the curse reversed”. This in essence is our assignment and what we are now accelerating toward.
Back in 2009, I shared that this is how we would ultimately be successful in our 7 Mountain assignment. We would intentionally build and then go into the ark, and then the Holy Spirit would progressively pour out of His Spirit. His outpouring would ultimately change everything; dislodging those who did not belong in the spheres of influence. The same outpouring would instead raise up those kids of the King who had chosen to be the courageous, Holy Spirit-filled carriers of the love of Jesus, and be reformers of the nations. They would rise as the waters raised the ark. (Photo via freeimages)
Additionally the ark works as an acronym with the “A” representing Arising, “R” representing Reformers, and “K” for of the Kingdom. We have our part and He has His part. We build, we go in, He pours out, and then He pours out some more; and then He pours out some more, and we arise with His heart for the nations. We become like the rising river of God in Ezekiel 47, that at its apex is now growing trees whose leaves are for the healing of the nations.
The Natural Sign and Wonder Now to be Seen in the Spirit Realm
In 1 Cor. 15:46, it tells us “first the natural and then the spiritual.” This means that often what God is going to do in the spirit realm is reflected by that which first happens in the natural. Back in Atlanta in 2009, we were in the 4th year of a severe drought that had our lakes and water sources at historic lows. The night I began to preach this message, “As in the Days of Noah” was a night seeming like any other, and it was not raining. However as I preached this message on a Friday night, rain began to fall. It fell all night and then intensely all day Saturday. Sunday it went to an unprecedented level with one suburb receiving over 20 inches of rain in 24 hours. As we were well into Monday it still poured rain and it was now at historic proportions.
You can look it up under “Atlanta floods” and it is certain to take you there as it was a “once in 500 years flood”. Over 20,000 homes suffered major damage. All the Atlanta interstates were flooded and traffic was at a standstill throughout the city. Creeks and rivers throughout were at unprecedented levels with many rain gauges under water and were non-functioning. Six Flags looked like a lake with many of the rides under and up to 80% water.
A newspaper came out with a headline something to the effect of, “As in the days of Noah.” It was an amazing but scary confirmation of the message I had begun to preach. That Monday afternoon I was in prayer and saying, “Lord, that was an amazing way for You to confirm the message, but I think perhaps I need to ask You to stop the rain as it is way too much.” As I said that to the Lord, I clearly heard from Him, “That wasn’t Me,” which sent a shudder down my spine.
I said, “What do You mean it wasn’t You, Lord? Was that the devil?” He said, “No, it wasn’t him either.” I was now more confused, and then He clarified, “It was creation itself. They have been waiting to hear a message that lines up with the great thing I will do with My rising sons and daughters.” I then remembered Romans 8:19, “Creation groans and travails for the manifesting of the sons of God.”
We are often waiting for Jesus to return, but creation itself knows the correct narrative. The sons and daughters of the King must rise and “reverse the curse” BEFORE He returns. Acts 3:21, “Jesus is held in the heavens until the restoration of all things spoken of by His servants the prophets.”
I then said, “Oh wow, OK Lord. So can You get creation to cut out this rain? It is great as a portent to what will happen, but it is now dangerous here and we need it to stop.” There was a rain forecast to fall all week now, and the flooding would have been unimaginable. The Lord spoke back, “You tell them. They responded to you to start with.” (Photo via all-free-download.com)
So at about 4 PM, Monday, I went outside in the rain with my shofar and I spoke out loud, “Creation, I am so glad you were excited to hear that which you have longed for is actually going to happen, but when I blow the shofar I need you to stop raining as it is presently too much.” I then blew the shofar and within a half hour the rain had totally stopped, and it didn’t rain the rest of the week, contradicting the extended forecast. Normal rains then followed after that and that week is known as the week that officially broke the great Atlanta drought.
The Date Was September 18, 2009 – Rosh Hashanah Exactly 7 Years Ago
It was only last week that I was led to research and remember why I was speaking on a Friday night, which was not a normal church service night. When I did, I discovered that it was because Sept. 18, 2009 was the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, exactly 7 years ago. The Lord spoke, “What you saw happen in the natural Rosh Hashanah of 2009 will now begin this Rosh Hashanah of 2016.”
The unprecedented rains and floods in the natural will now translate into its equivalent in the spirit realm. The Holy Spirit will pour out and pour out and pour out and then its effects will be impossible to ignore and then will become THE news event of the day.
In Gen. 7, it said the waters continued over the earth for 40 days. In my spirit I heard, “The opening of the deep that starts Oct. 2 will go unabated for 40 years.” The rains will come, the deep springs will be opened up, and it will be what allows Papa’s understanding kids to rise up the mountains, and ultimately to a place where the face of God is re-imaged on the 7 Mountains, thus reversing the effects of the curse.
Our beautiful Rainbow God will be revealed in all 7 of His primary colors. He will be known as Communicator in Media (Red), Papa in Family (Orange), Creator in Arts (Yellow), Provider in Business (Green), Teacher in Education (Indigo), King in Government (Violet), as well as how He is already known – Redeemer in Religion (Blue).
Reformation As Rest
Hebrews 4:9 speaks of a Sabbath Rest that is yet left for the people of God to fulfill. It says that if Joshua had succeeded in taking Israel into its desired REST that this would not still be before us, but that it is still before us. The taking of the Promised Land was considered entering into “His rest,” and yet it was not a season to just sit around. In fact entering their “rest” had to do with leaving the 40-year period in the wilderness and finally taking on the 7 enemy nations that they had been afraid to previously take on. So “rest” becomes a word needing some explaining for us today as to what is its equivalent.
I believe the key revelation as it has to do with “rest” is that it has to do with “believing,” as opposed to just be willing to war or strive or struggle. In Hebrews 3 and 4 it says there in different ways that they entered not into the “rest” He had for them because of an evil, sinning heart of UNBELIEF. Unbelief leads to making effort in a wrong direction. Hebrews 4:11 then says, “Let us therefore make every effort to enter THAT REST so that no one will fail by following their example of disobedience.”
The REST that God has for us is the inheritance of the nations (Ps. 2:8). The REST He has for us is seeing the reformation of society. This is our Promised Land and it is “His REST” He has provided for us. It simply means He has already done all the preliminary work of securing total victory of the mission and all that remains for us is the courage to show up where He told us to show up. (Photo via pixelstalk)
In REST the children of Israel took Jericho. They did not have to develop explosive weapons to blow up the thick walls of Jericho. They did not need to hope for helicopters. The victory was already assured; they only needed to show up with the intent of obeying the commandment to inherit the nations. Yes REST is also learning to do ministry in balance, not burning out body, soul and spirit; but beyond that the REST of 5777 is that we are assured victory, after victory after victory – if we will finally connect to the correct narrative that He has for us.
It is not time to speculate on matters like the rapture, the antichrist, the false prophet, the beast, the return of Jesus, the millennium etc. The narrative to embrace is God being made great in the tops of all the visible mountains of society (media, family, arts, business/economy, religion, education and government). We have had evangelization of the world agendas and revival agendas, but we have failed to connect to His reformation agenda for the planet. A great new renaissance is upon us and this time it will be all about the brilliance of God as opposed to first renaissance’s brilliance of man.
REST entails finally believing God’s expanded promises and being willing to take the steps in that direction. It is more about RECOGNIZING than STRATEGIZING; it is about faith, trust and believing more than about other “warring” that we are prone to do. It is not about looking for devils to defeat, but rather territory (7 mountains) to take. The territory gets taken not as we war against demons, but rather as we believe God so much that even when He gives us a mission impossible – we obey.
The obedience causes huge supernatural forces on our behalf to be activated that the devil has no answer for; even as Jericho had no answer for the forward marching children of Israel. The REST we experience is tied into the fact we have ceased from our own good ideas of spiritual warfare and spiritual objectives, and have recognized the land He is giving us. REST is about recognizing and receiving inheritance.
Resources: 777 and God At Work
There is an unmistakable connection with the repeat number 7’s and economic impact. Beginning with Joseph in the Old Testament, we see a man involved with dreams of 7’s – and then two 7-year periods defined by focus on provision. More recently we can remember that the Market Crash of 2008 was on Rosh Hashanah and saw the Dow Jones drop a record 777.7 in one day. In my book The Seven Mountain Mantle, I point out that the 777.7 represented the hand of God saving us and the market from a total crash that had been intended by manipulative forces of darkness.
Interestingly, the surprising Brexit vote that saw the United Kingdom pull out of the euro was exactly 7 years, 7 months, 7 weeks and 7 days from that crash of 777.7. Is that coincidence? I think not. Once again I believe it represented the hand of God surprising world economic manipulators with a measure that ultimately is another hedge against currency collapses and market crashes. The pound becomes as it were a wild card for affecting world economic matters.
So then, the 777 that we connect to this October 2, is very significant and once again represents the hand of God intervening in the economic affairs of man. There are in fact world manipulators of economic matters that are going to find their well-thought through schemes and conspiracies busted up by He who holds the trump cards. Psalm 2 tells us that there are many conspiracies but that He who sits in the heavens mocks at those conspiracies and then invites us to ask of Him our nations as inheritance (v. 8). Psalm 2 leaves it clear who carries sovereign authority in the affairs of man.
A most significant time in history begins now with ministers of wealth being released as no other time in history. This will accelerate and only continue over the next 40 years; and it is in this time period we will see the much talked and prophesied about “transfer of wealth.”
The 777 of this year is to showcase a God much bigger and greater than the human economic manipulators of the planet. He will be bigger than the IMF, than the Bilderbergers, than the world bankers, than the currency traders, than the hedge fund manipulators, and whoever else you can think of. If you forgot that He was greater than they “who think they are in power,” you will read trends and markets wrongly and come up with faulty conclusions, usually involving the idea of global economic collapse. God will be great in the world economy and this is going to surprise many manipulators and observers of the manipulators. Surprise, surprise everyone – God will be GOD.
The Election
There is a great connection between how God will one-up and short-circuit the global economic manipulators and His insertion of the person of His choice in the White House. They go hand-in-hand. Now the election process has become so embittered and negative that though I have seen a vision of who I believe is to win, yet I will not say so in this post as it could engender such strong feelings on both sides of the political spectrum that it might be counterproductive.
There is a responsibility for everyone to hear of the Lord on their own as it relates to this election, but I believe even those who encourage wise voting are often using seemingly “wise” but faulty guidelines. What seems wise is to take each candidate and weigh their pro righteousness stances or evidence of fruit of the Spirit and decide based on that. This is the logic we have been using and recommending for some time and yet quite often we’re missing who the Lord desired to be put into office. (Photo via canstockphoto.com)
We miss it, I suggest, because we don’t ask Him what is He prioritizing NEXT. We each have our pet righteousness priorities and often fail to match up with what He is working on NEXT. It is admittedly not necessarily easy to discern what is NEXT, but I believe we must at least start out with that being the question of importance. Once we identify what He is prioritizing next it becomes more clear who we are to vote for. The only better guideline than that is to have God show us who He wants in – for perhaps purposes and intents we may not have thought of.
God is doing a “hidden thing” this election and a lot of His reasons for choosing who He is choosing will be not completely evident until later. However, if I have discerned His intentions correctly, two major priorities will be the protecting and boosting of the USA economy, as well as the military strengthening of the USA. Both of these upgrades will be with Him having in mind the overall wellbeing of the nations. There are evil global forces at work, especially in the economy and in government, that God will short-circuit by who He places in our White House.
If I could ask of each of you, it would be that you be humble enough to ask God who you should vote for despite all of your personal opinions and prejudices. This is perhaps the one election in recent memory where asking Him who we should vote for is the best thing to do. In the natural, both remaining candidates seem to have huge negatives and maybe this could help us to go about our election processes by different means.
I believe this election will reset America and by extension reset the world for the hereafter. This President will end up being as significant as Abraham Lincoln was and even more than Ronald Reagan was, but primarily for reasons that are not presently clear. America’s best days are straight ahead, and I say that not because I am a nationalist or a patriot; I say that because that is exactly what He is saying.
So a most remarkable year begins this Rosh Hashanah, and I believe the shifts and changes of this Hebraic calendar year will in essence reset the world for the next generations to come. The Church that is usually expecting and speaking judgment over the world and their sins, will see that it is in fact the church itself, that will be under the most judgment. (Photo via roshhashanah2016.com)
In this 5777 year, a judgment is being made in Heaven on behalf of the rising Davids and against the establishment Sauls. Davids are marked by transparency, anointing – honed from years of pressure and rejection and friendship with God, and a connection to God’s heart for reformation of society. Sauls are marked by status quo, a political spirit, image, jealousy and a faded anointing often tied into building one’s own Kingdom.
This year Davids will be visibly promoted and Sauls will be visibly demoted. We are in the early stage of the Kingdom age and a high priority for Heaven will be who is leading the Church and how they are doing it. Reformation is the present priority and those who get it will have Heaven’s help as never before.
Despite many thinking that the LGBT agenda or the like is the spiritual priority of our day, it is in fact the churches leadership that is by far a greater priority. Judgment begins in the house of the Lord. We, as the Church, are less representative of what God has made us to be than the LGBT community is as compared to who God made them to be. That may sound like a shocking statement, and it is, but it is also the truth. All that is going to change.
We are now accelerating towards where we will be known for our love, for our healing power, for our societal solutions, for our kindness, for our innovation, for our wealth, for our patience – almost entirely of things we are not presently known for. The good news is we are all going to shift or be shifted. This Hebraic year becomes a reset year even for the Church. She will begin to be more Kingdom than ever, as the Holy Spirit pours out Himself in all of the right places and on all of the right people, in all of the right measures.

burnwithinIn the past while, I have been sensing an increasing shaking taking place globally.  Inasmuch as this has been happening I have gotten various scriptures over the past while which have resonated in my spirit and have been so tangible that I can sense; feel & taste the smoke rising.   An eerie scene unfolds in vivid pictorial description and a cinematic encounter takes place as I see the magnitude of what His DREAD CHAMPIONS are called to.

This consolidation of thought processes and a series of dreams is what brings me to this word I have burning in my spirit and which I feel is very relevant to this Kairos time.

Over the past three nights I have had dreams (and I hardly ever dream).   The first dream was on Saturday evening and was a bit like a Robin Hood scene – … there were a few key leaders running into the byways and highways and summoning people – … literally going from tree to tree and whispering to people to come out as they would be free shortly.   I couldn’t see any recognisable prominent faces and in essence, all the faces were somewhat blurred and veiled…  but there was great excitement amongst the people.  There was anticipated whispers fluttering through the woods as these “’Robin Hoods’’ went from home to home and field to field whispering ‘Freedom’s coming!  Freedom’s coming!  Get ready – Freedom’s coming!’  There were people who were so downcast and worn out that they started to weep and in the beginning couldn’t really revel with excitement but as the day went on… they started getting a bounce to their step and, just as it would be in a typical Robin Hood scene, they would go from neighbour to neighbour and say “’have you heard?  Did you see ‘them’? “   and then I woke up –   anticipation and expectation started rising.

On Sunday night I went to sleep and again the dream continued, but I was then awoken by someone dressed in something crossed between a gladiator’s uniform and a Braveheart costume… literally woke up with a start and was told to come with them, as they wanted to show me something.   The scene was misty; dark; fog-filled and encompassed the sounds of eerie forest noises; wolf cries; owls hooting etc.   Rather daunting at first, but I fully trusted the person summoning me and rushing ahead of me.   I felt strangely safe and empowered and knew that this was a continuation of the dream.

We went from valleys to hills and the scene that unfolded was utter and total devastation.   There was a lot of smoke.  There were body parts strewn around – most of the areas ahead were burnt to a cinder;  homes were on fire;  people were crying out; these famished souls and battle worn warriors still in uniform were injured; weary; hungry; exhausted and debilitated.   They had fought this enemy with every last ounce of breath they had and had seen and encountered so much.  For many there were just no more tears left… the dark rings under the eyes shared its own grief and loss… it echoed the souls of many who had travailed and carried so much – standing for the shelter of their families; their loved ones; their cities and their countries… – they had sacrificed everything – and it all looked lost.   The smell of smoke was thick; the devastation – brutal.  The injuries seemed insurmountable both physically as well as emotionally.  Many had given up and had felt they had lost the fight.  I knew this was an image of where many are at today… where many believed they’d never get out of… – and there were bones; body parts and skeletal remains strewn all over the place.    In a distance I could hear an unnerving; horrific snigger take place… it was almost like a scene from the Hobbit and looking from a distance, I could see these creatures huddled together, chortling away… and every now and then contemptuous laughter would peal out in the cold, dark night air.

Last night, as I drifted off to sleep, I was taken into another scene, which again continued from the night before.   Again, this militant Braveheart/gladiator beckoned me to come with them.    We once again went into this scene of devastation and destruction but on the horizon, I could see the glimmer of light starting to break through…. similar to that of the dawn rising after a storm/battle.   We were taken up on a hill and as we reached the summit I looked out and there was field upon field of ashes; bones; damaged armoury; torn fragments of clothes; and total destruction of everything visible for miles on end.  You could not only see but feel the anguish these individuals had gone through and had carried.  The air was thick with sobs and cries for help… arms were stretched out, as if reaching up for something.  Hands were still clasped closed – as if holding onto something.  The ground resonated the pain and upheaval these individuals had gone through.   They had given up everything.

Ezekiel 37:1-3

  • “The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 He caused me to pass all around them, and behold, there were very many [human bones] in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry.  3  And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”  And I answered, “O Lord God, You Know.”  4  Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.” [92]  5  Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘BEHOLD I WILL MAKE  91 BREATH ENTER YOU SO THAT YOU MAY COME TO LIFE.  6  I WILL PUT SINEWS ON YOU, MAKE FLESH GROW BACK ON YOU, COVER YOU WITH SKIN, AND I WILL PUT BREATH IN YOU SO THAT YOU MAY COME ALIVE; AND YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD.’”

Jeremiah 20:10-12

10For I have heard the whispering of many, “Terror on every side! Denounce him; yes, let us denounce him!” All my trusted friends, Watching for my fall, say: “Perhaps he will be deceived, so that we may prevail against him And take our revenge on him.” 11But the LORD is with me like a dread champion; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail.  They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.12Yet, O LORD of hosts, You who test the righteous, Who see the mind and the heart; Let me see Your vengeance on them; For to You I have set forth my cause.…
It’s as if a Hiroshima Nuke was released and everything in sight has been ransacked; devastated and even the flesh has been destroyed, leaving a valley of obliteration – bones scattered; ashes raptured in the winds and darkness abounding… – and yet – flanked by all this chaos – a glimmer of promise – an inkling of light piercing the darkness – the sound of His voice – releasing several hundred vibrational decibel as they hover over this site, – His very breath, power, dominion and authority in it – starts to release wave upon wave of restoration; power and might.   His very essence and resonance transforms that which was dead to life – that which was hopeless to awe… and that which was destroyed in the midst of the fire being fully revived….

Micah 7:16-17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The [pagan] nations shall see [God’s omnipotence in delivering Israel] and be ashamed
Of all their might [which cannot be compared to His].
They shall put their hand on their mouth [in silent astonishment];
Their ears shall be deaf.
They shall lick the dust like a serpent;
Like crawling things of the earth
They shall come trembling out of their fortresses and hiding places.
They shall turn and come with fear and dread to the Lord our God
And they shall be afraid and stand in awe before You [O Lord]

So who are these dread champions – what are they and what is God saying at this time?

Interestingly, in my search for more understanding, I researched, and had heard several prophetic words in the past on this subject, but more so certain key elements resonated with me.

“The Day of the Dread Champions”

Danny Steyne, On 04 March 2005, published a word and it described so aptly the scenes I have seen unfolding in the past few months.

“The prophetic words have come for many years…. there will be a generation that will be released on this earth with power that causes the enemy to tremble as his grip is broken from the lives of those he has devastated.”
The key elements – in my summary of what he shared, were that they would:

  • function under the anointing of God
  • Resounding His sound only & speak about the Year of the Lord’s Favor
  • carry His presence with them wherever they go
  • turn the Deserts into springs
  • Restore broken places to become wells of healing
  • Take places that were forsaken & make them the most desired places to dwell.
  • Carry authority that would ripple through society
  • Be part of the people who would bring nations to the Lord in a day!
  • Be a mighty, formidable group
  • Carry no fear – because they understand their position & authority in Him.
  • Be releasers of life & power – through which thousands and hundreds of thousands would be swept into the kingdom
  • Be implementors of radical faith – changing lives; communities; cities; regions and continents
  • Be recognised as those who have abided with Jesus – who have dwelt with Him in His presence
  • Be those who smell; eat; taste; see and think like Him.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion– to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendour. 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. 5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. 6 And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. 7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. (Isaiah 61:1-7)’’

Bob Jones shared the following word in 2010 –  but this is applicable right now:

‘’Bob Jones: Trees of Righteousness:
Dread Champions Who Champion His Cause

Recently the Lord showed me great trees that touched Heaven in their time. The Lord cut them down and made pulpwood out of them.  Then they were put into press and made into scrolls. The Bible is their testimony. They were “dread champions” in their times; they championed the cause for the Lord. They left a great inheritance for us, because without us they couldn’t be made perfect.

Hebrews 11:39-40 AMP And all of these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised, because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].

The Holy Spirit is calling for those who would champion His cause now to grow up and touch Heaven and champion His cause in their lifetime. These are the dread champions that will stand up against the enemy like these mighty champions of the past did in their time.”

They left us a legacy! Now let us take up our cross and follow Him beginning where these dread champions left off.’’

Oh boy, how many have felt like they’ve gone through the wringer – just when we thought we had achieved everything and become something – just when we had reached the pinnacle of our successes and thoughts; just then when we were so in control… so together –  the ground beneath us shifted – so that there was just nothing more left – and we find that we  have been steamrolled?   You see, its only when there’s nothing left of me, when everything fleshly and ungodly and undesired is wrung out – when not even the stench of ‘’man’’ is left on me; when every ounce of flesh has been eliminated – all our wants & desires; all our ways;  all our talents; all our thoughts … everything is processed and made nothing – it’s dust!  It’s then, that we take on His Character and His ways and are able to be that pliable lump of “clay’’ in His hands.  When nothing else satisfies, and nothing else will do – … where no further place of compromise exists; when our only engagement is to behold Him and to become more like Him – then – it’s then that He forms us to becoming living bread for the world – we become the scrolls and very letter of the word ready to feed others – because we have taken on His character; presence; ways; thoughts; habits; patterns and lifestyle.   As Bill Johnson once said – we ‘LEAK’ His presence wherever we go.  Nothing else satisfies – there is no more compromise and negotiation left… no more wriggling and squirming – our staple diet has become His word & His Presence.   After all He says  ‘eat of me’…’ – we seek to resonate and echo Him in everything we do – at that empirical point – and cataclysmic seismic event in time – We rise from the graveyards of man and fleshly works – and shake off the very dust of this world and start exemplifying & resonating Him alone.

Bob Jones went on to say the following :

“Psalm 12:1 AMP HELP, LORD! For principled and godly people are here no more; faithfulness and the faithful vanish from among the sons of men.

Their lives are now scrolls written in the Word of God for our instruction.

The Lord is raising up other dread champions to champion his cause like David. He was a dread champion.

Psalm 89:19-20 AMP Once You spoke in a vision to Your devoted ones and said, “I have endowed one who is mighty [a hero, giving him the power to help – to be a champion for Israel]; I have exalted one chosen from among the people. I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him.”

The Lord Asked Me to Ask for Three Things

July 3, 1984, the Lord visited me for half an hour. He asked me to pray Scripture to Him and ask for three things. The Lord said He would answer them in that order.

  1. The first thing I prayed was Psalm 12:1 (above).
  2. The second thing I prayed for was help for the Church to overcome their unbelief so that their faith would not fail.
  3. The third thing I prayed for was power.

I believe that we have already seen the Lord answer the first two things I had prayed for. Now we are getting ready for the third answer to take place.

Bobby Conner stated the following in his article in 2010 as well:

“Dread Champions Arise to Contend and Defend! We are Now in the Age of the Great Harvest!

Dread Champions, Arise!

Do you hear the battle alarm? It is ringing loud and clear! We are entering a very serious season—a season of confrontation. Our lukewarm “business as usual” attitude must die. The Spirit of God is awakening and arousing the Church, prompting us to arise and take a strong stand for Divine Truth. The war is raging and we must prepare for battle.

Meditate on this clear warning in Romans 13:11-14—and begin to declare this over your life and the life of this nation:

Besides this you know what (a critical) hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah). The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the (full) armor of light.

Let us live and conduct ourselves honourably and becomingly as in the (open light of) day, not in revelling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarrelling and jealousy. But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for (indulging) the flesh (put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature) to (gratify its) desires (lusts).

Now is the time for the Body of Christ to be bold, brave and extremely courageous, combating the spirit of this age.

How will this happen? First, we are to “make no provision” for darkness. We’re called to violently “fling away” quarrels, jealousies and any hint of immorality, to make absolutely NO provision for the flesh. The Lord has raised the standard of holiness to the highest levels of perfection.

Next, we are to not only resist in a defensive posture—but we are also to be on the offensive for our King. We are not called to live passive, quiet lives in the midst of evil giants; on the contrary, we are to actively arise and violently drive giants out into the open, exposing wickedness and defeating it through His mercy and grace, for God’s glory. Consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:12:

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.”

We are called to take the promised land of the Kingdom by force—without compromise or retreat. This war between King Jesus and His enemies of this world is going to be much, much more militant than we expected and we must prepare as serious soldiers of the Cross. Don’t misunderstand me—our weapons are not knives and guns, bombs and bullets, but eternal weapons of power: Zechariah 4:6 states that victory is won “not by might nor by (our human) power, but (only) by My Spirit (of the Lord).”

Never forget it is by the Holy Spirit that we are empowered for action—but we need to come into agreement with the Spirit through the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, purity, revelation of the Word of God, faith working through love and, above all, radical, unquestioned obedience. These are the characteristics of God’s “dread champions.”

We are champions because we have overcome the world by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony; we are dread champions because we consider not our lives unto death. This level of radical obedience produces Believers who will truly follow the Lamb wherever He goes—no matter the consequences.

This is the nature of a hero—and God is calling for spiritual heroes in this hour. The word heroism speaks of bravery and fearlessness. Heroes fight not for themselves, but for their King’s honor, their country’s honor, a greater honor than their own acclaim. These qualities of selfless valor are not born of the flesh, however. We cannot exert our will and abilities to become a dread champion. On the contrary: our heroism is in direct proportion to our yielding to Christ, the one true Hero. Only as we yield to the Holy Spirit will we be equipped to display these outstanding qualities of God’s champions.’’

In the Aquiline Prophecy an interesting part of the writings refer to the awakening of the dread champions.    On Page 353 Ruachel says:   “Don’t be discouraged.  I haven’t come to answer your questions, but rather to encourage you to ask them.  You will ask these and a thousand others in the coming days, but not of me.  It is not my place to guide you;  there is Another who carries that responsibility.  I, and those of my kind, have been given the task of serving Him and by extension, you.  To you, however, has been given both the privilege and the authority to steward a tidal wave that has started here and will soon sweep the land.  If you will be faithful in that, you will see the greatest move of God in history be borne on the shoulders of the youth of the nation.  Mark my words.  The Dread Champions have been awakened.”’

This take me back to Bob Jones’ word where he referred to David.   You see – David was stripped bare – laid low and learned through circumstances, to be abased.  To become nothing!  To be Fully Reliant on God – His only trusted source at the absolute worst time of His life.  And then he had to deal with giants – yep – indeed he had to take on not even his own personal giants but those of the people – “however David’s key was learning to abide and not to struggle – to wait – to be watchful – but to always be attentive to the Holy Spirit’s leading and voice.  He did not have a struggle in his fight against Goliath.   He took him out with one smooth stone and one sling in his slingshot and it was over.  He had crossed over…. He had stepped into his Breaker Anointing – A Breaker Anointing gets maximum results with absolutely minimal effort.

Dread Champions discern this and know how to read the signs of the times – … God wants to teach us to become Dread Champions who:

  • Feel his presence
  • Know his timing, & Are so attuned to His leading and voice that we release breakthrough to slay giants one at a time – be it for our own endeavours or for regions; nations and territories.

In Isaiah 10:27 – He speaks of releasing a Breaker Anointing – a Kairos moment of His empowering and synergistically working in His demonstrative power.  And then in Psalm 29 – A declarative song of power and Might… – a shout of victory arises – a true lesson in empowerment and fulfilment of the majesty of an ever-present living God in all our circumstances.

The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.

A Psalm of David.

29 [a]Ascribe to the Lord, O [b]sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty and majesty of His holiness [as the creator and source of holiness].

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

I felt him say that we are at the 11th hour 58 second mark.   We are at the cusp of God booming across the nations and releasing His Authority like never before.  The battalions are rising.. the dread champions are coming forth as one!

The tranquility, peace, and calmness portrayed in this art captures every fibre of relaxation and the settled knowing that He watches over our every move… allowing us moments of settled calm and peace; allowing us times of contemplation and dreaming…. to gaze over the landscape; the ocean; the garden; or just even merely looking inwardly… capturing heart moments… pondering happy thoughts and expressing hope; depth and purpose… ahhhh – call them coffee en beskuit moments… to friends afar…. we have a culture of spending moments of quiet over coffee and rusks…

Take time in your hectic day…. and smell the ocean; smell the coffee and pen your heart thoughts.

God’s Amazing Goodness

Let us not grow weary….

So many times one gets caught up in the events of life and in the events and happenings of the day – time seems to run away with us and our focus shifts from that of being outward focused to being captured on an inward enclosure focus.

We rush around; get busy; keep busy; and are so easily swayed by everyday circumstances that we forget to see, let alone acknowledge the keys Abba Father gives us – to unlocking Life over people.

It is so easy to lose sight and depth of the amazing wonderment and goodness He gives us each and every day…. There’s absolutely nothing more breathtaking than waking early on a cold winter’s morning and watching the sun rise over the misty waters and hear His voice say ‘look what I have given you today… I am unfolding a platter of choice for you – go and share it’.

Today was one of those Aha moments again, where He whispered His amazing goodness through to me by way of friends; the beauty around me and the amazing awe I experience every time I hear His voice.

Stop for a moment – and don’t merely take things for granted…. he wants to show you so much more

Stand back and take a deep breath – let Him come and show you as you take a moment – be gobsmacked by His wonderful goodness and go and pay it forward! He has freely given ….

2012-06-17 The Justice of Restoration

I have been pondering the word RESTORATION for several weeks now and after friends having gone through severe trials and tribulations – I felt it was time to draw the line in the sand.   ENOUGH IS AND WAS ENOUGH…. and God is not a man that He should lie… He did say we would have trials and tribulations, and the road was never to be one of ease – BUT, in everyone’s life – the hand of God turns environments; shakes the very ground we’re on and sets the record straight.

For those at this place, this word I received this morning from someone was such a confirmation yet again and I have taken the liberty of sharing it as well as giving them full credit for this as it resonated in my spirit for all those that have been contending over and over again – DON’T GIVE UP!!!! NEVER GIVE UP!    GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Abundance is coming – The night is darkest just before the dawn. We are prophetically on the eve of new levels of creativity, opportunity and fruit. Yet, our experience is navigating the present darkness and attack against our dreams. The reason we guard our hearts is simply that the thief would like to steal our dream. We have all experienced the sense of “losing” in finances, health, relationships, years and dreams. In fact, the desires that God planted in our heart are always connected to sound relationships, good health, long life, and abundant finances. Protecting those areas from attack is key to our destiny in the Kingdom. It’s not just about us – It’s about the Kingdom.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10 NASU

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Prov 4:23 NIV

Understanding why – The first question a loss prompts is, “Why?” If God is the author of our trial, we would want to somehow embrace it; if it’s the thief, we want to resist it. This question is centuries old, and I want to summarize a few of our theological options that your heart is already entertaining.

The dark night of the soul – This option has roots in the mysticism of the Middle Ages. The premise is that our hearts are evil and need purification or crucifixion. The more spiritual I am, the more I experience and embrace trials and difficulties to cleanse my heart. At some level, the suffering becomes self-inflicted. Although God can test and discipline us, those experiences alone don’t define our relationship with God. This belief falsely blames God for our loss and the fruit is that we have no Kingdom impact on our culture.

I’m created for fellowship – This school of thought is that our love relationship with the Lord is our real reason for existence; that trying to find purpose in your mountain can be a form of works or idolatry that takes us out of love for God. This belief simply denies the reality that the consequence of loving God is working with Him to build the Kingdom. It also leaves us in a defeated posture of retreating into an introverted and isolated version of “loving God” that accepts loss as God motivating us to love Him more. Again, God gets the blame for loss and the fruit is that we have no Kingdom impact in our culture.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16-17

Both of these views have elements of truth, but both accept loss as spiritual, and leave us defeated and on the sidelines in the Kingdom. When loss occurs, I do want to be sure that my heart is right before the Lord and to verify my first love. However, the explanation for a theft is usually the thief! Over-spiritualizing a robbery and trying to blame God isn’t very productive. Both of these concepts leave us as pseudo-spiritual monks; introverted, isolated, and hopelessly aloof from impacting our culture or mountain.

Restoration – The good news is that theft is fairly common and survivable. Your and my situations are not unique. God has an answer! He has a system of justice in place to restore what the enemy has stolen from us. What has been missing is the perseverance to use our faith to ask for God’s justice to restore what has been lost. What is even more exciting is that God doesn’t just replace what has been lost; He multiplies it back to us… double, 4-fold, 7-fold, and 100-fold!

Job received a double portion“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10-11 NIV

Theft under the law requires a 2- to 7-fold return – “If a man steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it, he must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep (Ex 22:1).  See also Ex 22:4, Leviticus 6:5, 2214 and Proverbs 6:31.

100-fold returns“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” Matt 19:29 NIV

Faith that perseveres to justice – When the enemy steals from God’s people, God is zealous to inflict vengeance on the loss and to restore it. Although God is totally committed to multiplying restoration, we have not known how to ask for it in faith and to lay prophetic claim to that which is ours. We have not known how to pray.  Too often, we’ve given up and blamed ourselves or God for the loss we’ve experienced. Listen to this parable of the widow who insisted on justice as an act of faith.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care about men, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!’”

6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8 NIV

Wisdom – What’s the smart thing to do when we experience loss?

1. Perspective – Count it as an opportunity to deepen your faith and perseverance. It happens to all of us, and you will survive and mature. What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn to good (Rom 8:28). It may take time, but our posture during that wait is high expectations rooted in our understanding of God’s justice.

2. Priorities – Warfare and loss is not about you, personally. It’s about the Kingdom. When we seek God, His wisdom and His Kingdom first, everything else gets added or restored (finances, health, relationships, years and dreams). Solomon chose wisdom and understanding and God added wealth, honor and long life. Our priority is the Kingdom… God takes great care of us and our needs.

I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for — both riches and honor — so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. …I will give you long life. 1 Kings 3:12-14 NIV

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33 NIV

3. Forgiveness – Vengeance belongs to God. It’s wisdom to forgive and to make room for God to execute His justice. Holding a grudge or harboring bitterness just doesn’t make any sense!

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 12:17-21 NIV

4.  Work – See the progression? …First trials, perseverance, then wisdom, then restoration. Ask for the wisdom to receive the multiplied restoration to reverse your loss. It won’t just fall out of heaven through prayer. God will work with you to find a way out. It’s not a passive process. It takes tenacity, single-mindedness, and work to be a King and to stand your ground in the Kingdom. The thief loves to steal from Christians and leave them demotivated and passive. It really is a war and we really do have to fight to win it. Once we commit to engage in the battle, we find that victories can come easily with the Lord’s help. We really can experience the multiplication and the sense of His wind in our sails. He’s just waiting for that level of faith to exercise His justice and to inflict His vengeance on the thief.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. James 1:2-8  NIV

5. Make a plan – When our faith is high enough to put a plan in place that is rooted in the desires of our heart, the answers come. That dream will sustain your heart through adversity just as Joseph survived his stay in prison and his promotion in Egypt. Your role in the Kingdom is worth the investment of your time to put that plan into place and to get the help you need to do it. Here are some suggestions for next steps. We may be able to help you with a heart plan.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Prov 16:9 NIV

To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. Prov 16:1

Abiding with Him

Today, as we celebrate His amazing goodness to us and for us, let us choose to remember the very essence and reasoning behind His blessing in and over our lives.   You ask, ‘how do we even begin to comprehend that?’ – I say… by Abiding in Him.

The more we contend for and press in to what He has for us, be it now or 10 years from now, the more we see the fulfilment of His plans coming to pass.   The interesting thing of our very natures are, if it doesn’t happen now, tomorrow or the next day, then we think it’s over.  But it’s not!!!!   His word never returns void .. the seed He’s given and planted within you doesn’t die… but it does need to be watered and fertilized daily –  How?  By us Abiding in Him – standing in His presence as one beloved and adored by Abba Father, who looks down on us and smiles….

When last did you look up and smile back…. when last did you look up and say ‘Thank you Abba Father for the work done in my life – in our lives and in our time.

I’m sure, that not once, but on several occasions, you’ve had the blessing of receiving His destiny spoken over your life… it’s time to embrace that and let the ink of those words be massaged into your very fibre of who you are… so that the reality of that living coal of destiny can be used for the fulfilment of your high calling in Him.

Look back – look up – lean into Abba Father and feel His heartbeat for you and over your life ….

Embrace it with the knowledge that He brings to fulfilment His plans and destiny for you.

In Him

A fresh winter’s morning

4 AM in the morning

It’s always amazing to notice the consider the magnitude of God and just how unfathomable He is. My jnr decided that it was an exceptional idea to wake me at 4 AM today – yep 4 AM. All to go out for nature’s call.

It’s only winter … And freezing cold. So, diligently I got up and decided to brave the cold. To my amazement, I walked out and the most spectacular milky way was resplendent in the heavens and an incredible moon was lighting up the mountains covered in the mists of heaven.

Once again I’m reminded of what an amazing God we serve and how he cares for the finest detail for every second of the day. In the same way, He surrounds each one of us, and we are hidden in Him shrouded in His presence; surrounded by His splendor; veiled in His glory.

It’s only when we choose to see it and acknowledge the fresh touch He gives us each day – like dew drops from heaven that we are able to encounter Him. It is so easy to rush off – start the day and not even stop to be thankful and grateful for the little things.

Choose this day to be captivated by His love.

A Brand new Day

The journey of Life

This is the first of many penned thoughts and a collection of the goodness and favour of God….

He’s the most amazing ‘travel agent’ and has only the best in store for one…. we just need to take the time to embrace it and ride the wave He has us on.

I’ve pondered things over a lengthy period of time and noticed that every day can be either an adventure or a disaster… the choice is ours.   It’s all a matter of how we choose to embrace life – how we choose to see the fresh dew drops from heaven for each day.   It’s about choice and acknowledging Him with an ever-thankful heart.

Abba Father needs to be the source of each day… and needs to be the expectation you are waiting for … not the circumstances and waves crashing around one.   We need to press on toward the mark.. to tenaciously pack those bags and journey with Him in this thing called life…. stopping to smell the roses and gathering our thoughts and thankfully acknowledging His goodness and amazing grace that He showers us with.

Have a God-filled day!
